The aim of this study review our experience define trends in the incidence, presentation, morbidity, mortality management NF cases. Method Case notes from 1st October 2012 30 September 2022 were retrieved. Data was collected regard patient demographic, risk factors, initial laboratory findings, surgical approach, length stay intensive care unit (ICU), additional operation requirements 30-day mortality. Results Medical records 59 patients reviewed. 58% male age ranged 24 84 years old average presentation 53. 91% cases had one or more factors identified 36% being diabetic, 54% obese. Hepatic granulomas: a 10 year single centre experience.
BACKGROUND Epithelioid granulomas have been reported in 2-15% of unselected liver biopsies, with numerous underlying aetiologies described. However, all UK series were reported before identification of hepatitis C virus (HCV). AIM To evaluate the current aetiologies of hepatic granulomas and to assess the prognosis for the "idiopathic" group, in which all investigations for a recognised cause...

متن کاملNecrotising Fasciitis
Be aware that: Necrotising fasciitis is difficult to diagnose in its initial stages, as it mimics cellulitis. Important early clues are pain, tenderness and systemic illness out of proportion to the localised physical signs. Bullae and ecchymotic skin lesions also point to the condition (and are not normally found with cellulitis). [2] A high index of suspicion is necessary and suspected cases ...
